There is an art to everything. Finding artistry in how we connect, creating the space to weave intergenerational and intercultural stories together, sharing experiences and expanding curiosity, we advance the conversation and our level of understanding. GGP engages in every level of theatrical and social production and can lead or partner on events and projects from documentaries and narratives to academic fora, multi-scale concerts and creative fundraising gala events, approaching every project with artistry.

Carla was the Executive Director of the Mayor's Office of Special Projects and Community Events (MOSPCE) for three years. She oversaw a team that designs and executes hundreds of events, both public and private, for the Mayor and First Lady of New York City. Carla and her team connected 50+ City agencies with their communities and valuable resources, including sponsorship and external stakeholders. She developed a unique communications and social media tool, raised over two million dollars in a short period of time for mayoral events, and has served 200,000 constituents through event experiences hosted by the Mayor and First Lady.

Prior to her mayoral appointment, Carla advocated for girl leadership and gender equality as Executive Director of Girl Scouts of the USA and was Executive Director of Administrative Support for the Office of the President, Columbia University. Her management and editing of President Bollinger’s book in the Inalienable Rights Series for Oxford University Press, Uninhibited, Robust, and Wide-Open: A Free Press for a New Century, led to the President appointing her as Forum Director of A Free Press for a Global Society, an international Columbia series of fora that discusses and debates the capacity, strategy, mandates, and needs for a global free press in an interconnected world. Those conversations and the experts that Carla brought to the table became the foundation for Columbia University's Global Freedom of Expression initiative and the Knight First Amendment Institute.

As a performing artist, Carla was given a special mention by The Drama Review for her performance of Gisele in The Workroom directed by Moni Yakim. In the title role of Mary Stuart, Sir Derek Jacobi highlighted her portrayal in a speech at Oxford. Carla wrote, directed and performed Words, Words, Words, which was named one of the top ten must-see shows by the first New York International Fringe Festival. As a theatre professional she has performed, written for the stage, directed, and coached privately primarily in New York City and the UK.  She was an Instructor of Acting, Movement and Dance at Pennsylvania State University’s School of Arts and Architecture and was an Artist in Residence for the State of Pennsylvania. Carla danced for Doug Elkins in the world premiere of JP Morgan Saves the Nation and created the character of Lily Simone for the mockumentary Goldberg's Variations. Carla has sung with a number of groups, including The Maledictions and the Ray Odom trio. Carla is a certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework and Feldenkrais ATM.
